I have two Nvidia BFG GTS 250 cards. Other than that, I need a whole new rig that will last me a few years. Anyone have suggestions on a good motherboard that can fit these two plus do sound? I have a Creative Labs Fatality card and it causes white noise on Windows due to an incompatibility. I'm okay with just a two speaker set-up, or even just headphones.

EDIT:
Is this a good system?

It lacks video cards so I can put in my two NVidia GTS 250s.

That Mobo should be able to fit what you need. I'm not an expert on Mobos so I can't give any other suggestions. Should be ok seeing as Asus is a good company, good choice as not many mobos support an AMD cpu plus SLI.

It has the PCI-Ex16 slots for the SLI 250s and a PCI-E slots for the sound card on the side.

I mean everything should work together, and it should last a few years depending on if you're a hard gamer and like to have everything on max and resolution.

I play mostly indie games, which means Penumbra may be the most graphically intensive, but I will play Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3 as the come out, and I want those on max.

Thanks! Not sure if I said it here, but I am planning to get nice headphones instead of sound card + speakers.

Two GTS250s should take you pretty far, one should be able to play anything you listed there fine as long as you don't throw a bunch of AA on there. Anything in the next few years should be able to be played on medium settings at the least.

On the topic of sound, what I've usually heard is onboard audio is fine. I've never used any dedicated sound cards nor do I know any one who has. But if you get nice enough headphones you should be able to hear a difference otherwise some cheap ones would really hold it back.

Ya, that megaspecial looks like a good deal. Unless you need some serious processing power, you're good to go.

Computer came in with no OS, and I had to install Windows 7 on HDD 1. While setting it up (I just wanted my games on it), I have been getting blue screens of death. I have Avast!, AVG, and Zone Alarm running, but when I run Steam and EA Download Manager, I will eventually get the blue screen that shuts down the computer, crashing Steam, and forcing me to delete the ClientRegistery.blob.

Any ideas on what's going on?
