So there's a tetris game called "Tetris GrandMaster 3: Terror Instinct". Yes, that's its name. Basically, it's like regular tetris, but you have ranks. The higher ranked you are, the harder the game gets ie. The blocks fall faster.

The highest rank that you can achieve is Grand Master. Only 7 people in the world have attained it, because in order to get it, you have to play an insane number of Impossibly high scoring games, pass a special test, and then if you don't do well on any of your next few games, your rank is revoked. 6 of the people are Japanese, and 1 American.

As you can see in the video, the blocks fall stupidly fast. Towards the end, it reaches INFINITE GRAVITY MODE, where the blocks instantly appear on the bottom row, and all you can do is slide them around and rotate them before they lock into place. Finally, there's an invisible mode. Yes, the blocks are invisible once you place them.

Anybody interested?

Really gets hard around 3:10

I saw some of this crazy high level Tetris play on AGDQ. If I remember right, the one American with a Grandmaster rank (KevinDDR) was the main person showing it off.

Tetris pros are really amazing, especially to me, since I'm bad at normal Tetris, haha. I do find it kind of interesting that the people who developed those Tetris games would put in a rank that so few people would ever be able to get though.

Yeah, thats him. KevinDDR.

I'm pretty bad at tetris as well, although I do have the original for the Game Boy.

I find it interesting just to see how people can turn a rather casual puzzler into something like that :p

Man....at my college our Rec Room had an original Tetris arcade machine. Friendships we're ruined and finals were sacrificed playing that game 1v1 for endless hours. Tetris Party for the Wii and the NES Tetris can get so intense also, it's a near perfect premise for a game both solo and competitive.
