Smash Rookie
So I guess this is my introduction thread
Uh
Well, since this is Smashboards, I guess the best way to start would be by summarizing my experience with Super Smash Bros
I've been a player since Melee but only really got competitive around the launch of Smash 4, so I don't really have much non-casual experience with Melee/Brawl/64. As a Smash 4 player I'd say I'm pretty decent although I'm unfamiliar with a lot of advanced mechanics. I've sort of just taught myself how to play and it seems to have worked since I have a For Glory win ratio of about 75%, but I would not call myself good competitively by any means; just decent. Sonic, Mario, and the glorious Captain Falcon are who I main, although I play like half of the roster casually. I do hope to get good competitively though, and hopefully this site will help me accomplish that
Other things about me that might be of interest are the fact that I like a handful of anime, most notably Naruto, Dragon Ball, and Death Note. Metal Gear Rising is one of the best games ever so I will reference it quite a bit
Halo, Sonic, F-Zero, and Pokemon are all also really cool, although they are by no means the only games I play. Anything made by Bethesda, mostly Fallout and TES, tends to really entertain me, with the exception of The Elder Scrolls Online
Also, the username is pronounced swag-kah-gé, as in Hokage from the Naruto universe
So will all that out of the way, it's a pleasure to meet all you Smashboards folk and I hope to have a good time here
