What are some of the differences in strategy from your 1v1 game and 2v2 game?

Do you think that 2v2 is often taken more lightly than 1v1? how so and why?

Favorite team techniques? (something like grab and have partner smash, or use of reflectors)

Should 2v2 have a different set stage list? or any different rules?

Should 2v2 have a different tier list? (Pit always seemed to be a very good character in 2v2 to me, and pokemon trainer seemed to be even worse than he is in 1v1)

Best 2v2 teams?

How effective are teams with 2 characters? (something like 2 ikes)

Should we just play 2v2 the same way we play 1v1?

How to play a 2v1 match when your partner has died?

Spacing?

Anything else you think fits the topic, you can probably tell what I am going for. These questions are a good start though, just the basic stuff, and how serious should competitive 2v2`s be, and anyone know any cool strategies or teams.

I personally think 2V2 is taken far more lightly just because the nature of it is very different. 2V2s are chaotic There is a more to concentrate on Where as on 1V1s you have a crap ton less going on. in a 2V2 Your watching 2 enemies and your Partner.

IMO i like using Pit and TL in doubles because pits arrows are probably the most irritating projectile in the game in 2V2s where as 1V1s their a lot easier to read dodge and less spamable. Like wise Tool Link who is ok at 1V1 becomes a beast in 2V2s with his tools IE Dair on shield which causes hell in 2V2s Plus TL has trouble killing where your partnered say MK isnt going to.

Tier list wise you cant really make a direct list cause some characters just work better with others and some don't. The complexity of it is kinda wacky.

Best team of 2 characters ive seen is two MKs to BTW -_-.

In terms of a 2V1 match is obviously kinda sucks for the 1 in most cases That said you can play off on spacing a fair bit and use advantages/friendly fire to your advantage. Your almost never gonna actually be holding much in terms of stage control though.

All that said though look up vids. the competition in 2V2s is there it might not be as liked as 1V1s but there is more then a big enough scene for it.
