Smash Journeyman
First of all this is a serious thread and I would like it to be taken as such. No BS, I don't care who starts it.
I would like to credit Blondie for the notion of doing a tier list this way (See Post: http://smashboards.com/threads/tier-list-speculation.331666/page-69#post-15491051) and providing the multipliers for each category. I understand that this method may not seem ideal or even appropriate to you, but the best way to see how accurate this method is would be to average user submissions and analyze accordingly.
That being said, there are some potential advantages that could prove useful to players and developers alike.
This list works by ranking a character a 1-10 on very general aspects of their game as of Version 2.6b and giving certain aspects more sway in the grand scheme of computing a total. This will help to potentially identify strengths and weaknesses in a character's attributes. The rubrik for It goes as follows
If you wish to fill out a spreadsheet this either PM me or post in this thread and I will provide you with a link. The last thing I need is griefing going on in peoples lists.
Character - X points
Range (x3): X
Mobility (x3): X
Combos/Damage Racking (x4): X
Approcahing (x3): X
Killing Potential (x3): X
Zoning (x2): X
Recovery (x2): X
Weight (x1): X
Tournament Results (x1): X
EDIT: When considering weight, think of it in terms as the ability to survive horizontal and vertial KOs in a general sense. Obviously there are tradeoffs but for the sake of this version think of it that way.
Fill out the cells for the whole cast or even only the characters you fill comfortable judging aka YOU DO NOT HAVE TO DO EVERY CHARACTER. I included a table in there to keep track of rankings of characters to provide a sanity check for your results. I will be crunching all of the submitted data at given dates and I will share the results as well to see how this project is coming along and to possibly evaluate it for flaws or biases.
If you have any concerns or suggestions on ways to improve the this method (multiplier values, Document too ugly etc) feel free to post in here or PM me.
