Smash 3DS Communication error after the patch?

i dont know if its the same for wii u or even if its just me (i play on the 3ds), but before the patch ive never had this problem. it seems ever since ryu lucus and roy were released i cant play an online match all the way without it freezing and eventually saying i have a communication error kicking me back to the main menu. i wont be lagging or having problems up until it freezes and gives me an error. i was just wondering if anyone else is having this problem and if theres a fix.

I actually stumble upon a errors like this too on the 3DS. Apparently this happen occasionally with the DLC characters
and happens most often. Only a few times it will be playable, but most matches are pretty laggy.
It is up to Nintendo if they will release a hotfix for 1.0.8 smash bros 4. All we can do now is just wait i guess...
For now i would avoid using the new DLC characters for now. Mewtwo is fine though.

Hm, I haven't really noticed too many laggy matches with any of the DLC characters, but I might have noticed it in matches that have more than 2 players. (For Glory 2V2, For Fun Smash, ect.) I'll probably check back later and see if I notice something different.

that makes sense kinda i always start a lobby with ryu im tryna have him be a secondary unless i get good enough with him where i feel he could be a main
