I'd personally like to see more reference to 80s and 70s animes.
In Starfox 64/Lylat Wars we had a reference to Gundam (Sector Y's boss) and in Super Mario Sunshine to Mazinger-Z (Mecha-Bowser). Something like that I want.

1. Sonic would say, "Why are you working so hard? I'm already here."
2. An angry tales would appear briefly on screen.
3. Sonic would say, "Oh right... I forgot about that part..."
4. Tales would disappear.
