as you may have noticed i posted a topic a few weeks ago on how to combo on level with platforms. after the few who gave me advise i watched some vids where there were to falcos on levels with stages. one of the vids that i watched was hydro kirdy and zhues playing on dreamland. when i was watching saw them both try and start a combo by shine->jump->shine->dair and then combo from there. so my question is sould you only do the shine jump shine thing on levels on platforms because i watched some fd matchs and no one did that, or was it a mistake and i was mistaken and saw something eles.

-thanx

as far as doin that combo on levels with combos... u can do it anywhere.... id say the video you watched was just one of the guys deciding that that combo was best at the time....
whether it was final dest or platforms... it doesnt matter too much as long as its the rite move for the time... if you catch my drift...
but personally i find those sort of combos better on platfforms cause when you knock them down with a dair its harder for them to tech\escpape, on a paltform...
but yeah it doesnt matter...
just think of everymove as mindgame... every move has its purpose and uses... maybe not all the time uses but uses none the less

Probably because the normal combo of Shine Dair Shine would get interrupted by the platform. They use the extra shien to rake up a little more damage so that their combos would flow better on the platforms. IUf a space animal is still really low percentage, you can't really use the platforms to your advantage.
