a combo video usually consists of combos.
1/2 the time you were being hit yourself.
Does it matter who's being hit, as long as it's authentic footage?
lol
And, well, the video is 6:45 in length. I was being hit for maybe 0:30.
Most of those clips were to showcase to validity of my opponent's skill, anyway, to make it seem more legitimate.
Lack of an actual edge-guard/combos were sort of painful. Work on getting down the foundations of Fox play before trying to make a combo video.
Things like ACTUALLY waveshining a Peach into grab/usmash, or ACTUALLY punishing your opponent when they land on platforms above you on Yoshis while trying to recover...
Sorry to be so blunt.
You have to understand, I'm aware that waveshine combos on Peach, etc. are no big deal. They're easy enough to perform. The only reason I had them in there was because if I didn't someone would be bound to criticize me for my supposed lack of ability or knowledge of how to execute them. Somebody would have unwittingly said something like "Learn how to waveshine, N00B, then we can talk".
So some of those clips that you may think are overly basic, in the end, provide a better insight into my overall smash skill. Because my experience isn't nearly equal to that of most of the folks on these boards, I have to compensate through research.
Now I'm kind of in disbelief when you say "lack of combos". What exactly do you consider a combo? I have throw based combos, waveshine combos, nair uair combos, aerial > dash a > utilt > aerial combos. I know there's at least one zero > death WITHOUT the shine.
As far as edgeguarding goes, I use a lot of shineturn > bair. I use shinespike when called for (although I consider the shinespike unflashy and mindless). It's all situational though. Different matchups call for different edgeguarding options.
What exactly did you mean by getting down Fox's foundations?
