color-coated teams, good or stupid?

i am interested in what the general poke crowd thinks of color-coated teams for example my all GOLD team.

all shiny of coarse
i was a real pain in the *** getting Groudon and Lucario, suprisingly Milotic was a shiny feebas that i caught without even knowing it.

i know groudon is a uber, but i spent the time to get him and he's not going to waste. I have a sand colored Rydon that i believe could be a good Rhyperior (and thats gold if i remember correctly). so i have at least one more route to take at the moment, if it really bothers you.

Oh yea, i noticed that, but metagross was the only one that seemed interesting and really it's more silver and harder to get, a LOT harder.

...but it's harder to experience those chances if you don't encounter that pkmn very often, essentially making that 1/8192 behave as if it were 1/1000000000. Well, you get the idea. That's what I think the poster's trying to say.

Harder to get. Pokemon like Beldum (in DP) appear in Swarms. Aside of that, even with chaining to get a shiny, there's a freaking sandstorm blocking half of your sight. Maybe that's a little harder to get than a shiny Bidoof, just maybe.

And for legendaries, it just takes endless amounts of resets. Or not, if you're really lucky.

Yup they usually are. I was more pointing at the fact that it's random when and which pokemon is swarming, so you might have to wait really long (unless changing time setting on your DS hacks the swarming event). But yeah swarming Pokemon are easier to chain, EXCEPT for 2 of them, Beldum and Swinub. Beldum, route 228 because there's a sandstorm semi-blocking your vision and Swinub route 217 because there's a even worse snowstorm blasting through your pixels. The last one is so f'd up.

i toyed with the idea of a steelix and even breeded till i got the onix (i don't sleep much), but i find steelix to be a huge step down from some of the other options out there (mainly for spc. def).

i'm a bit suprised how many posts have been made on my thread (only my second ever), but it's nice and i'm curious if any of you have dream color-coated teams and what they are. they don't have to be shiny, i just wanted a blingteam for my friends to envy

i already knew about most of them though. stantler and and the f***ing sweet bug have been dubbed green, by my friends . I already have my Arcanine and i might use steelix or rhyperior, but i hadn't thought of foretress, i'll look into that.(chances of it panning out are next to nill) I'm not a ninjask user, sry.

i want to reinterate the fact that a color-coated team does not need to be shiny, but in my case this list is helpful. thank you again

i will admit a couple of my shinies were given to me from shady friends and one of them gave me a Darkrai (as if that wasn't obvious, i don't use it much... just a little).

i just like the color gold and when i found out that Arcanine is gold i couldn't resist seeking the wonderful treaser, one thing led to another and now i have a whole team or legit shinnies.
