Club Nintendo Japan Problem

I hope this isn't against rules or in wrong category or something...

I import my games, so have the Japanese versions. Thing is, when I heard about the Mewtwo DLC coming up, I realized I didn't yet have a Club Nintendo Japan account... and found I can't make one without residential data (address).

Does anyone happen to know someone (trustable, of course) in Japan that could help me with this? If any rewards were given that were actual items as well (such as the Smash 4 OST), then I'd cover the S&H for them to re-ship to me as well. Or possibly just let them keep them, I guess.

I do the same thing as you and I use Tenso. It's a mail forwarding service. If you register an account, it will give you a legit Japanese address (and phone number) to use for stuff that only ships to Japan. If you actually order something, Tenso will contact you when it arrives and you can pay them to have them ship it to your country.

Apparently I can't post links until I have 10 posts... The URL is tenso dot com/en/

Ooh, I hadn't thought of anything like that... to think such a service exists!

Is there anything that I should take into consideration, or any times they are noted for... awkward problems?

There is a section on prohibited items in their FAQ

Lying about my country.
If it's the same as the American Club Nintendo, it doesn't have to be a real address. As long as you're not ordering any physical rewards whatsoever, everything should be fine.

Though if you want physical rewards, then yeah, that Tenso service thingy is pretty much the only way to go.

Lying would be blatantly idiotic, especially if they do actually check things (I don't know, nor care, since doing things as properly as possible is the only way to do them). Also, some physical rewards are particularly likely to come across, as anyone on this forum really should well know (such as a particular one...).

Either way, solved and done.
