Apparently, Melee isnt in the vote cast, never made it...
so all hope is lost, hope to have some friendlies at evo though...

Even if melee did make it to Evo it probably wouldn't be hosted/ran well. G.A.M.M.E. in Orlando Florida is our "Evo" for now.

Yeah, it was the first time Melee was ever in the Evo lineup so it was inevitable that some s#!+ was gonna go wrong! Also, I think they changed the ruleset to one round because of time constraints since there were more entries for Melee than any other game!

i don't think its going to happen anymore since it didn't get the minimum number of interest (20 people).

the thing was i dont think the tourny host was aware of pound 4 while he was promoting since it is what took the attention away

the rules for final round were going to be the melee community's rules

SRK is convinced that they more about our own game than we do. If Melee is at EVO it will be under their rules and not ours because Mr. Wizard doesn't know what he's doing. Unless you can convince Inkblot otherwise, Melee at EVO will not be what you want it to be.

we have enough national-level fan run tournaments planned for 2010

we dont need other silly ones to oversaturate the community (and ppl go broke)

Well, last year nealdt ran a Brawl tourny at Evo 09! Brawl wasn't part of the Evo lineup, but some people from AiB talked with some Evo people and managed to fit it in! Standard ruleset for Brawl were used: 3 stock, No items, and so on!

That's true Atlus but a side tourney is one thing, and something being on the lineup is another.
