I've heard everyone out and looked at things differently. It's clear to me now GimR is trying to protect the Smash community and is dedicated to growing it and I won't hesitate to have his back.

I thank the community for having a discussion with me.

I don't see the point. Why would you want to cooperate with Nintendo if they are going to force you to abandon a game watched and played by many? They've never really done anything for the Smash community anyway. Even them sponsoring Apex didn't seem to make a difference whatsoever. Very disappointed in GimR, but, I guess that's his channel and his choice. If we want to, we can keep PM alive without VGBootCamp.

What doesn't change is that Nintendo at any point has the power to C&D PM. Whether VGBC itself will close down because of PM is still something out of my knowledge, but it's very likely that PM would get C&D'd if it gets much too much exposure by a single channel. At this point, I don't mind VGBC giving up PM because it allows others to stop relying on a single stream and focus on a multitude of others. At the very least it would force Nintendo to acknowledge widespread viewership instead of victimizing a single stream.

Tbh I think the absence of PM at Apex is more detrimental than VGBC giving up PM.

We could also just continue playing the game, but apparently, VGBC salt is just like PM 3.5 salt. People can't get over it and carry on.

How did Apex dropping PM lead to VGBC dropping it? How does Gimr try to monopolize Smash streaming by doing that?

You're connecting dots between separate occurrences and make a conclusion based on a hunch. If you want anyone at all to believe you, back up your claims with proof cause as it is now, you look like you're attention whoring.

As hurt as I am by GIMR's move, this is a huuuuuuuuge over dramatization. The scumminess is primarily from the fact that he didn't announce this a long time ago, or even before APEX, rather than any inherent problem in not streaming PM.

You guys make a lot of sense and I wish I had thought of things a bit clearer when I wrote and published the article. As to protect GimR's image and fully support him, as I believe he's actually protecting the Smash community and trying to help grow it, I have removed and deleted the article.
