Claw style for Marth

Would any claw-style users out there recommend learning claw to play Marth? What are the advantages and disadvantages? As far as I know using claw helps with SH double Fair, especially when SHing backwards, but I don't imagine that being extremely practical except in a few specific scenarios. Any thoughts?

I would recommend it. For me it helped me a lot with being able to do faster uairs, and fast fall them too. I'd imagine that it would help a lot with trying to do sh double fairs, however i cant get the timing down for the life of me. It also helps a lot with doing fast rising aerials after you double jump. If you are someone who really likes using your C-Stick for aerials I would say try to learn it.

It's all preference. I can tell you that there's nothing you can't do while playing standard vs playing claw. There are rare situations that might help for you to claw, but there's no necessity. M2K and PP don't claw (but I've seen M2K use claw for a second during a game just for a situation) and they have great Marths.

For SH double fair, you can't fast fall the first fair. It's not hard, you just have to learn the timing. Fair as soon as you can after the jump
