Classic Controller Shoulder buttons question

Are they sensitive/work like the gamecube controller? I'm kind of wondering because that can effect shielding and other things. I haven't really touched one.

I'm pretty sure they're analog. They have the digital click (the sort-of second button when you push the shoulder button all the way down) but the resistence is a bit less then on the GCN controller. The analog part is shallower than the GCN controller's as well. I've heard people saying that they weren't able to light shield in the SSBB demo but that could just because they're not use to the CC. Then again, the Wiimote and Nunchuk don't have analog buttons so they might've just made it one set shield size like in the original.

I am kind of interested in how this game is being formed for all four controll schemes. Just thinking about that makes me wonder if seperate schemes can alter gameplay in relation to others, or if all are being designed simply so that they all act the same.

They might be adjusting for all of them...

I wonder if walking/running is analog still for the control stick based controllers since the Wiimote seems to only be able to walk or run. This whole "Ink Drop" thing could evidence of this: In SSBM, as you probably obviously know, when you dash and then hit the control stick the other way, you turn around and start dashing but you're going a lot slower. Doing this in SSBB, though, seems to make your character fall down, after which they can stand up, roll etc. This could be a sign of limiting you to just running or walking, since you'll never do the slower dash, so as to not leave out the Wii Remote players and maybe simplify the online data.

...Just a thought.

If that's true then playing Brawl will seem way to robotic. I didn't want to wait and think of a better way to put it, but if there are only two paces of movement that would suck. In melee you could move at lots of different paces by putting various pressure on the control stick and then dash with a smash in a direction. On the Dojo, Sakurai explains using the wiimote you dash by pressing the dpad twice and to walk you just press it once. Hopefully that is only true for the wiimote. If it is not, it will be like using the Gamecube controller, but only having the technology built in to play like and NES game (if you can get my rushed analogy).
