Have any of you people played so much Smash 3DS that this happened?

There was more on the other side of the circle pad but I cleaned it off before I thought of taking a picture. You can also see a little smudge on the circle pad itself. I'm guessing this is because of sweat and the rubber is coming off and with my finger I smear it onto the unit. It comes off very easily though.

Anyone been playing Smash this much and intensely? XD

Holy crap, take it easy on your 3ds. I have a black/read 3ds so no problem.

My Xbox 360 controller used to get that on it. I assumed it was just hand dirt and oils getting rubbed in, but it never occurred to me that it could be rubber bits. I have a black 3DS so if mine is accumulating similar grime, I don't see it.

The color is the same and I've never seen it before. Usually a stick is high up so it wouldn't happen and D-pads are usually hard plastic. And yeah my beautiful 3DS is white so it shows easier too. It's the circle pad breaking off I'm worried about, not this. X3

Its not rubber. This is stuff that accumulates naturally. My dad has this problem with his controllers and it's on the handles rather than the top so it's obviously coming from the hands. Likely a combination of sweat, natural oils, and dead skin.
