:4pikachu:*** GREETINGS SMASH FRIENDS! ***:4villager:

GET READY FOR A NEW CHEF SMASH PRODUCTION!

*PRESENTING* - 2 videos / with a
RANT on each!!!

ONE

Hm? What's that?

SSB4's custom moves feature! This feature paired with amiibo functionality has really changed the face of SMASH in a new incredible way. IMO this doesn't take away from classic specials and STRAIGHT UP RAW SMASHING with classic characters, it only adds to the intrigue of the game.

Custom specials do what their intended - allow the players to customize the characters to their own play style.

I always wanted this option with certain characters. (Dr. Mario's Mega Capsule is a game changer for me)

Ike :4myfriends: is a character I never used to play - the reason being that his heavy character type paired with his classic specials didn't work for me. So I made a custom Ike and really got to learn about the character.

Playing with custom specials more suited to your play style can actually be helpful in learning to play that specific character. In other words, you can improve you classic play style game with any character!

In this video I use my custom Ike vs. my Link Amiibo to showcase some of the benefits and differences in this type of SSB4 gaming.

Increased damage and special abilities acquired from equipment make for exciting gameplay, and it's only fair to use against Amiibos which already do 1.5x damage and carry their own special abilities.

note: using certain specials like Ike's Tempest can be helpful against opponents with explosive shield. This benefit along with many others can add many new dynamics and outcomes to a battle.

Here are the STATS:

IKE (Custom)
NINJA

attack +37 / defense +7 / Speed +14

Legendary Sword, Knight's Cape, Nimble Dodger Boots

Neutral B - Tempest / Side B - Unyielding Blade / Up B - Aether Dive / Down B - Paralyzing Counter

LINK AMIIBO (Lv. 50)
CHRIS

attack +108 / defense -61 / speed +59

Healing Final Smash, Mr. Saturn, Explosive Shield

Neutral B - Hero's Bow / Side B - Ripping Boomerang / Up B - Shocking Spin / Down B - Giant Bomb

TWO

Here's my BIG POINT OF NOTE on the BAYO SITUATION :4bayonetta:

If you want to beat Bayo - Play Link! or some other character that has moves capable of interrupting her special attack which starts the aerial combos.

This video shows what I'm talking about - Link (me) vs. a random For Glory Bayonetta opponent.

I start by using shield against Bayo - Notice the DEFENSIVE approach (this is crucial vs. Bayo)

I then add the boomerang - this is the closest you will get to a fool proof defense against Bayo's Heel Slide but you will see how you need just the right amount of time to pull it off to avoid getting caught by Heel Slide.

I add the bombs - It's important to use these DEFENSIVELY. I use bombs as a defense mechanism in my style of play, but there are two major inputs to note. Throwing the bomb up, and soft-dropping the bomb on the floor. Both of these approaches are super effective vs. Bayo!

GAME - No more fuss on that! This video doesn't cover the issue of Witch Time, but I assume witch time does not make Bayo insanely OP for all intensive purposes.
