Checklist to Happiness

1. Platform Cancelling*

*I don't care if this is done through wavedashing, or through Brawl platform cancel mechanics (though wavedashing allows for better movement mixups in general). But this needs to be here.

2. Longer initial dash animations.

3. SLIGHTLY increased hitstun.

4. Bring back SDI.

5. Lower move ending lag.

I want these. Badly. Please, Nintendo. Please.

What are your guys' thoughts? Characters aside, what mechanics / tweaks do you agree with? Any of your own?

I find it ridiculous that we can't add characters to our happiness checklist :s

1. Some sort of new movement option that allows for mix-ups and easier navigation around the stage.
2. Faster air speed across the board.
3. Stronger DI.
4. Lowered landing lag on aerials.
5. More natural knockback progression and/or lower endlag to allow for more combos.
6. Weakened recoveries in general.

I don't need all of these to be happy, and quite honestly I don't expect any of these to be truly fulfilled, but to have even one or two come true would make a significant difference for me.

Longer dash animation, include Smash DI, include L-Cancelling or remove half of the current landing lag on all characters aerials upon landing, allow shields to reflect projects like previously when timed correctly, allow zair moves like Links grapple hook to cling to walls, allow characters to cancel a run in to a crouch, allow crouching to reduce damage and knock back by 2/3, or some varying degree, like previously, remove the function that makes characters automatically clinc to ledges as soon as they're close while rising from a jump or up special, allow aerial attacks performed on upward jump momentum from their second jump on certain characters (namely Ness and Yoshi) to halt their jump momentum, allow jab and soft attacks to force get-up animations from characters that tumble on the ground and miss a timed tech, allow characters to maintain momentum from their run when they jump out of a run.

You do the majority of these and it will be a vast improvement.

I dunno just make it a slightly faster paced version of Project M with no character cuts and a roster totaling 50 characters. Done. Perfect Smash game imo

I just want to see a worthwhile single player mode similar to SSE, but with levels based around the represented franchises (and without cutscenes since we know there is no "Story Mode").

As far as mechanics go, I already like the look of the overall game and it's pacing so I have no demands there.

Less lag on landing aerials. Removing hit stun cancelling/acting out of tumble/whatever it is that tones down combos. DI tho prevent those combos to be too abusive. Whatever it takes to tone down zoning, camping, infinites. Obvious stuff
