when brawl comes out would you wait till cheats came out(action replay) to get all the characters? or do it normaly? I for one would unlock them normally i love the surprise and excitement of getting a challenger then kicking there ***. =P

Ugh. Why is this here?

But to avoid spamming I'll actually reply.

Using cheats wrecks the experience of playing a game for the first time. So I will unlock everything before using cheats, and once I have every unlockable, I shall have no reason for cheats. Therefore, I win.

Also, why is this here again?

I want all the characters and stages as fast as possible. I'd cheat. But I'd still play all the single player modes, so its not like I would never unlock them.

I'd want to play through and unlock them...

there's at least some element of surprise when unlocking everything the right way.. .and I wouldn't want that taken away from me.

I mean, who knows? This may be the last time we can be Surprised by a smash Bros. game.

I would actually wait till one of my friends unlocks all the characters, levels, items, modes etc. and then I would copy their brawl data onto my Wii (if i had one). I actually did this for melee, cause I don't wanna waste time playing like 1000 vs matches. (impatient and I don't really care)

play the ****in game unlock every thing urself u can and us acrion reply and stuff just for fun. iI use AR with melee and its really fun to use but i wouldnt use it to unllock everything in brawl. THe goodnessof the game is lost when all u do is use cheats to beat everything,I highly feel that oneof the best parts of brawl will be inlocking new secrets

I don't think anyone would want to use an AR to unlock the characters, unless they're unbelievably lazy or don't care about the feeling of accomplishment you get by unlocking them yourself.

If you have to play 1000s of hours then yes. Food trophy. NO.

EDIT: Wii constantly adjusts itself to disable action replays though.
There really isn't much point in having one.

There wasn't really anything in melee that was so difficult to unlock that I'd feel the need to cheat to get it... I guess building up the individual matches to get all the stages was a pain. I hope that in Brawl things are unlocked through achievements, not patience.

My last things unlocked were the trophies diskun, smash coins, and Captain Olimar, and that wasn't a pain. In short, just do the work, it isn't that much and it's satisfying to actually play the game.

I think unlocking characters and stages is teh better part when you get the game, I don't even want to know how to unlock them, I want all unlockables to be a surprise for me (hoping for sonic) cause I know that after I unlock all I'll have plenty of time to use all characters.

AR?!?! come on man enjoy every single thing of this game.

He was trying to find out who is that eager to play the game that they'd ruined a few two years of building surprise to get everything. That's all. lol.

I know for most of the characters I want to be surprised, but I know I'll look up how to get snake on GameFAQs, as I want to play as him ASAP.
Of course, I have a hunch unlocking him will be a pain like mewtwo, requiring like 20 hours of play.

I was expecting at least a few people to say I don't give a **** about single player, unlockables are a waste of time, etc.

I'd have to say that unlocking them normally would be the best way to do it. I mean, you get to understand game physics better, find a nice couple of characters you enjoy playing, and get a nice feel for the game before going against your friends. All in all, AR would just make you suck at the game in the beginning o_o

Why use an AR? It's so lame.....Theres nothing better than beating the single player game and right after the credits you hear that alarm and see a shadow and wait "new challenger approaching" or maybe it would say "new brawler approaching" or whatever by looking at the dark figure you try to guess who it is before pressing "A" or "home" "1" "2" whatever lol
