"Cheap" Strategies - Are they appreciated?

I've recently been using Kirby a lot in FG, and people seem to know surprisingly little in regards to fighting him. As such, I'm doing fairly well (except against those pesky Nesses!). I've seen a lot of people use what some would call "cheap" tricks, like spamming the same move over and over, spamming projectiles, or spamming counters. I've grown to deal with it and move on.

But Kirby has a unique trick. He can pseudo-kirbyside if he wants (and can get the opponent to fall for it under the proper circumstances). As such, I've begun incorporating this into my play. A few times, I've seen people immediately jump off and lose their second stock after I take off their first one this way.

In one sense, I can see how this is frustrating (which is why I usually limit it to one stock per match), but on the other hand.... It's so easy to avoid that I have trouble taking pity on people that fall prey to this. I feel that if I can manufacture this scenario, the opponent aught to lose their life, possibly both if I can do it twice. But at the same time, I don't want to ruin my name online where nobody is willing to fight me.

What are the communities thoughts on "cheap" tricks? Will I be essentially black-listed? In FG (not an actual tournament), is it bad practice to do this in matches, and how many people actually care since it's so easy to fight against?

Suicide tactics are looked down on by some, but lauded by others. Some tournaments even have special suicide rules that award the win to the one who used the move, so that should tell you where most people stand on that sort of thing.

Me, if I see an opportunity to go a Bowsercide or a Ganoncide, I'm taking it. It's too hilarious to not do!

First of all, spamming counters is not at all a cheap strategy. It leave them extremely vulnerable and open to punishes.
In FG and tournaments, I and most others play to win. Many pros use diddy, Samus players spam missiles, and link players spam projectiles. It's all about winning. I think all tactics are acceptable if it's in the game.
