Note: I don't see the Competitive Discussion forum anywhere, so if this is the wrong place, please let me know or move the thread to the proper area. Thank you!

I was playing MCPE (a Diddy main) and I notice that he does a few things I don't see out of most players. Even against really good ones, they seem to lack perfectly chasing down an opponent who's landing vertically on-stage. He was able to surprise Uair, chase-grab, or chase-USmash me before I had a chance to land properly. I main Ike, so my options are limited, primarily using Nair. Even with fast-fall, he could run me down unless I used the ledge.

On the ledge, he punished me almost every time I tried to get back on. He knew exactly how to read whether I rolled back on, jumped back on, attacked back on, or simply hit right/left to come back on. In the case of the last example, it was usually answered with a grab. Sometimes he'd DSmash me to get both angles, or he would read my jumps and either aerial me or do the chase-down grabs before I could land. And keep in mind, it was hard to stay grounded even when I used other characters.

Another thing I'm really trying to work on now is not wasting moves. He was really good at perfectly spacing his moves, knowing the frames and hitboxes, and I feel like I was swinging randomly in the air. I did a lot of that mainly to keep my zoning and discourage him from approaching. Instead he did the opposite and just kept coming at me, knowing exactly when/where to punish.

I'll have some videos for you guys to watch later to see what I'm talking about. But in the meantime, how do you deal with constant pressure while trying to recover if you can shake the monkey off your back?

I think this has something to do with it

Smashboards rules are applied here harsher than they do elsewhere, and we aim to keep standards within here high.
Access to this room is a privilege, and to promote this we have a system known as "posting probation"that will automatically come into effect if you currently have 3 or more infraction points. This applies to all infractions you receive on this website.
If you have been infracted recently and suddenly cannot find this forum, this is the reason why

I remember pissing off one of the Link mods and he randomly gave me infractions. I reported him for his abusive tone, though, so those should definitely be wiped away. But besides that, where can I find my infraction points on my profile?

Safe landings differ between each character, but since you chose Ike, you definitely will have a harder time transitioning from air to ground and vice versa. Your best option is to weave different directions while throwing out attacks with low landing lag and counters when you want him to trip up. If being juggled is the issue, it's almost always safer to retreat to the ledge with Ike (since he has such a complex and relatively safe up special) until you can regain your ground control. Other than those suggestions, maybe just try mixing up your landing game. Save your double jump until you're extremely close to the ground (sometimes, don't even use it to force Diddy to react to new scenarios each landing). When you land, if you find he frequents attacks, try to get the timing down for lagless shielding. Fast fall and as soon as your character is registered on the ground, bring up your shield. It's a timing-heavy option, but it's usually the best way to take care of ground jugglers, since they expect some sort of late retaliation. Most of the time, they want your landing lag so that they can punish and put you back in the same position, so if you don't take the bait and play defensively, you'll have good mix ups.
REMINDER: You can grab and spot dodge with shield up, so you have all of your defensive options at your disposal. It's up to you on the execution.
