Hey smashboards, i was wondering if anyone could answer my question. Before the 1.08 patch, whenever i played charizard i could grab someone and continuously pummel them until they were forced into grab release, and even follow up with his jab right away (if i remember correctly opponents were releeased relatively close to charizard, and slightly in the air). And this seemed to work on almost ever cast memeber, and racked up quite a bit of damage. But now it seems like this doesnt work anymore, either they get released on the floor so they can shield right away, or they're released outside of charizards jab range.

So i wanted to ask if anyone knew if the frames in which charizard can act right out of a grab release was lengthened? Or the distance opponents get released changed? Or maybe is it that it's always been possible to escape this and i just got unlucky in a few matches that my opponents reacted fast enough?

Tl;dr : can charizard still pummel into a grab release and still combo into his jab?

It can true combo on certain characters if they do not input anything when released.

So it hasn't been changed?
It is just very situational I believe most characters can jab from grab release if the opponent doesn't react fast enough or jump out of the grab release.
