I actually decided to make one at my school. I'm charging $4-5 dollars for tickets, and I'm putting the money to the American Cancer Society in honor of a teacher who had to leave for surgery a few weeks ago. I thought it was a good idea, anyway...

I just wanted to run over these rules and see if they were appropriate for a medium-sized (60 people +) tournament:

ITEMS: Low
MATCH FORMAT: Single Elimination brackets, 2-Stock, 3-Minute Matches
BANNED STAGES:
Mushroomy Kingdom
Rumble Falls
Pirate Ship
Frigate Orpheon
Spear Pillar
Port Town Aero Dive
New Pork City
Skyworld
25m
Mario Bros.
Flat Zone 2
Hanebow
Shadow Moses Island
Temple
Jungle Japes
Rainbow Ride
Big Blue

If anyone sees anything overtly wrong with this set-up, then let me know.

Just a few questions.

When you say low items do you mean all items or select items on low. Because trust me all items will cause randomized winner, I'm sure of it.

Although, just curious why is Hanenbow banned?

And some other stages that it might be a good idea to ban:
WarioWare, Inc.
Summit
Norfair

there are more but no need to get to complex.
