Character's Counterparts

Though many people have said different things, about the characters on melee, i want you're opinion, and depending on you're level of Skill depends on if the counterparts are effective are not.
(For example: I watched Bowser school Fox on the internet starting with 10 lives)
1.Either an expert was controlling bowser or 2. the person controlling fox just sucked.

Basically it was a little of both.

FYI: Bowser doesn't lose to fox every time. Just ask Gimpy.
Besides, it's always been known that Skill >>>>>>>>> Matchups >> Stages > Tiers.
Please don't start another skill vs. whatever thread.
