Smash Journeyman
The one thing that I felt was missing from Melee was character-specific entires.
For those who don't know, in Smash 64, when characters were about to fight, they didn't just appear on a platform with the Smash logo on it like they did in Melee. Mario jumped from his signature pipe, Link came down from a beam of light (as he did in Ocarina of Time after defeating a boss) and wielded his sword and shield as he landed, Pikachu popped out of a Pokeball, Kirby came crashing down from a Warp Star, the list goes on.
The feature was purely aesthetic, but most importantly, it emphasized the atmosphere of the game. I would be ecstatic if they included such features into Brawl. For all you gameplay-picky players out there, it all occurs before the fight begins, so it would not affect gameplay whatsoever. It would be understandable that seeing the same animation every time you play would get repetitive (though, I never had a problem with it, but I know how much some people can be), but it would not be impossible to have multiple entries for these characters; afterall, there were 5 or so victory sequences for each character in Melee.
Am I the only one who misses this feature?
