Character Selection Issue?

Almost every character has a pixelated picture now. I thought this only applied to characters with alt costumes but people like rob look perfectly fine. Is this happening to everyone or are my files somehow messed up?

I think it looks like that for everyone; AFAIA they lowered the quality of the images to lower their file size to keep the game from freezing.
