Character model hacks not loading

My issue is that after I replace the .pcs and the .pac the characters remain the exact same. I do not understand how they do not change if I replace the file. Im not crashing or anything. im running M 3.0 on hack wii gecko OS. also is there a thread with a list of the PM Characters and corresponding to pic placement in the common5.pac folder?

How are you naming the PCS and PAC files?
