Character Hair detail...varies. In a good way?

Has anybody else noticed how Brawl seems to selectivley detail hair?

While Peach, Bowser, Link, etc. have very detailed hair, characters like Mario, Wario, and Red dont have much detail in their hair.

Same with fur. Diddy Kong, Donkey Kong, IC's coats, etc. have very detailed fur, while Pikachu, Sonic, etc. dont.

And the Ice Climber's coats have detailed fur, but their hair isnt detailed. Honestly though, it seems like they have chosen correctly when it comes to who to detail and who not. Mario with really detailed hair or a fury Sonic or Pikachu wouldjust look weird.

Yeah the first time I noticed it was with Bowser. It was really noticeable, right down to the highlights in his hair. Love the detail. They've definitely made the right choices graphically for each character.

And Pikachu and Sonic aren't exactly known for their "furriness"...

Mario, Wario and Red have something called HATS!

They aren't exactly furry like DK.
