Changing your nickname?

I know it's possible to just create a new nickname, but that way I'll lose all my stats and the likes.

Is it possible to just change the nickname so it displays a new name and maintains all the old stats?

You need to make a new nickname. It's the easiest and efficient way to do it.

I believe He's talking about the console user nick name that appears when he plays smash wii u online.
there are stats associated with said name and probably wants something that fits him.

if you can edit the user profile on your console then maybe but im not sure about stats
I believe the owner is linked to a Mii
