Changing the music in netplay version

I'm playing Project M online only, on netplay version, on my Dolphin. Is it still possible to change the tracks? When I change the tracks in the folder [projectm/pf/sound/strm] they do not affect the game in any way.

In fact, it seems like the ISO of Project M is entirely independent from the projectm folder, as it can work just fine even if I move it around, and it appears all the costumes, music, etc data is on it to begin with.

So basically, how do I "synch" the projectm folder and the ISO then? Or can this music swap just not be done on Dolphin?

P.S I'm aware of potential desynching issues, but we're planning on doing the same modifications to all versions playing through netplay.

unless you can somehow get the PM iso to load files from the projectm folder, something i dunno anything about, you'd have to do that before making the iso...

I see. But then for what purpose did that projectm folder spawn to begin with? While using the ISO builder to create my netplay ISO, it apparently came along for the ride too. What's its purpose?

So is it essentially impossible to replace the music files when playing on Dolphin, period?

For a netplay ISO, the modified tracks would have to be built into both ISOs, since (last I checked) you can't enable SD cards during netplay.

For an ordinary ISO, you can use WinImage to create an SD card image with the modified files in it.

the iso builder takes the files from the folder and puts them in the iso...
Well, that's easier than expected then. In other words, all I needed to do was to drop the music files in the sound folder beforehand and patch myself a new version.

It works. Thanks much.
