"Challenger Approaching" Again... and Again.

I'm playing Project M on Dolphin, and without fail, after X amount of matches, I get the "challenger approaching" warning and am forced to fight Falco. This is normal, but even after I get the "you've unlocked Falco" disclaimer, I still have him popping up after each match with me having to fight him every time. This happens even if I delete the save file and start from scratch.

I don't think it has anything to do with the game not saving, since I only get the "you've unlocked Falco" message after I beat him the first time. Every subsequent fight with him does nothing but sends me back to the menu normally. Is there a cause for this?

And just for reference, I'm using the 3.5 Community Netplay ISO.

The Neplay Community ISO is not meant to be used with a save file. It is meant to be used with Dolphin versions 4.0-648 and 4.0-652, which are ideal for netplay but cannot save. If you wish to play using a save file and not have those Challenger Approaching events pop up repeatedly, try using a different build.
