Certain custom alt costumes freezing in 3.0

Hey guys, I'm having an odd issue with using costume hacks from brawlvault in P:M 3.0. My game freezes whenever I try to use a couple particular costumes.

The weird thing is that I am using a number of alt costume hacks which all work fine, but am having game freeze issues with a select few (3 to be exact). These hacks also worked fine in P:M 2.6, so this makes little to no sense to me!

Any ideas?

While trying out some skins from the Vault I've come to notice that some are not safe for Project M 3.0. Currently, I am looking for a way to test these skins to see if they are safe but so far it's going slow testing them one by one. (having my console crash on me for each faulty costume.) Anyone know if there an easy way to see if a costume is safe for PM?

Anyone know if there an easy way to see if a costume is safe for PM?
1.) Is it a model import?
-Maybe. Depends on a number of things.
2.) Are the bones on the model changed? Size drastically changed? Require additional files to work properly?
- If so, not safe wifi-wise. Possible freeze potential.
3.) Is it a simple recolour?
- Safe
4.) Is it Amy Rose/Sora/Cloud Strife/etc. over ROB?
- Not safe

Most mods that are safe for vBrawl should work for P:M.

I'm using hackless FullSet version of PM so no Wifi concerns here.
Your point about the bones...kinda clears something up
Thanks Xermo, that cleared up some of my questions.

costumes that aren't wifi safe aren't wifi safe because bones and stuff has been changed and that affects stuff like hitbox placements... so you should always use wifi-safe costumes...

No ones helping me with my problem! :(
Why the hell would a model work in 2.6, but not in 3.0...

OH and also to add to this moronic issue, I have been told by a number of people that it actually works fine for them in their 3.0. What the fug? Why would it work for other people but not me? This is annoying me soo much!

Do any of you guys know what the problem is?

If your friends are using PM as well and it works for them but not for you could it be the particular naming order of the fit files perhaps? You've been here longer than I have and I assume you already know that the costume slot order will not be in numerical order such as fitmario00, 01, 02, 03, 04. Could it be misnamed? Some characters skip over a number in their fit files. 00, 02, 03, 04, etc..

Just throwing out possibilities, hope it helps.
Example of slot order for Lucario. (note: this order will not work for other characters)

Lucario:

Slot 1: FitLucario00

Slot 2: FitLucario01

Slot 3: FitLucario04

Slot 4: FitLucario05

Slot 5: FitLucario02

Slot 6: FitLucario06

No its def not this. Ive named the file fine. Thanks for the suggestion though.

A new discovery I just made, I've slightly edited some of metaknights animations, and some of his PSA. I tested a non edited version (P:M 3.0's version obv) and the model works fine. But then when I edit those animations and the psa, the game freezes with quickdraw metaknight (again all other metaknight model hacks work fine.

Does anyone know what in the quickdraw metaknight model would cause problems with the files i edited?? or what in my edits would be affecting the model and making the game freeze? (i edited his tilt A-A-A jabs, and his side, down and neutral b end animations)

It's possible the petals that come with quickdraw mk causes the freezing.
