Centerport Smashfest/Tourney: 5/22/10

Yeah, so, I decided to start hosting or attending tourneys as much as possible
a little while ago, so here I am.

Sorry about the short notice, I had been planning this without thinking of
putting it on here.

Location:

21 Tuscarora Drive
Centerport, Long Island, NY, 11721

Bring setups(wiis, gcs, and tvs) people.

Fees:

Venue Fee:
$5, to pay off the 5 FOOT HERO and assorted snacks/drinks.

Entry Fees:
Singles(Melee and Brawl): $5
Doubles(Melee and Brawl): $5 per person, $10 per team

Prizes:

Singles(Melee and Brawl):
1st place- $10
2nd place- $6

Teams(Melee and Brawl):
1st place- $12 to each team member.
2nd place- $6 to each team member.
All the prizes will be bigger if there's bigger attendance.

Tourney Rules:

General:

Team Attack is ON for both games!

First stage is picked at random from the neutral stages. Loser of the first match picks the next stage from the list of neutral or counterpick stages AND can change characters. The winner can change characters after seeing the loser's changes.

Stage Striking: Players take turns striking stages from the starter list until only one remains; these stages are not banned and can be counter picked later in the set.

-8 minutes
-Best of 3
-Double-Elimination Style

Singles for Melee will start at 12 pm.
Doubles for Melee will start around 1:30 pm.
Doubles for Brawl will start around 3 pm.
Singles for Brawl will start around 5 pm.

All these start times are tentative.

If this doesn't go well merely because of short notice, I'll try planning another
