Hello, I am in the market for a high quality capture card, and I am really confused as to what additional materials I will need after I buy one and what will actually work with smash. I need a card that will function on a CRT TV . I would like to be able to work on a crt without an Av out.

I am looking at this one- Avermedia LGP
apparently this is what evo is going to use this year but I can only see an HDMI in, Does this actually work for smash?
also looking at this - Dazzle DVC 100
I am open to any recommendations you have.

I think that these wont come with all of the cords if I buy either one, what else will I need to have/buy in order to record with these cards? Thank you for your time.

Preemptive sorry if I posted this in the wrong place.

basically under $250
Best bet is likely the Hauppauge HD PVR then, as it has component pass through http://www.hauppauge.com/site/products/data_hdpvr.html
Make sure you get that model though, as they have newer models that don't have component pass through, only HDMI output.

Only extra cable you'll need to get is a Wii component cable if you don't already have one. Fortunately, they're super cheap http://www.ebay.com/itm/151916928535

Cards that don't have component output can be used but you'll need to get a component splitter, and those aren't cheap. (I mean, you could use unpowered splitters, which would be cheap, but I wouldn't recommend that...)

Though if you get one of those cheap capture devices that only take composite/S-Video (like the Dazzle), you also only need a composite/S-Video splitter, which are cheap. But those are also just ****ty capture devices, I don't think you want that.
