Capture Card Dilemna

Hey all! :)

I'm looking for a capture device (preferably something that'll plug into s-video or usb ports) that'll work well on my crappy comp, but I don't really know where and how to specify which one will be the best for me. If anyone could nudge me in the right direction, it would be very appreciated. :p
