Captain Falcon in SSBB

Well, thanks to Goroh becoming an AT, Captain Falcon can be considered semi-confirmed.

What surprised me, however, is that for the past 14 months I haven't really seen a thread TRULY debating what Falcon will perform like in Brawl.

And I searched, trust me; I found 29 threads, with about 18 of them locked, some of them weren't even about Falcon- they were focused on other Captains (Olimar, Syrup, etc.)- and the ones about Falcon were joke-threads or weren't really concerned with the whole character at all.

So here's where I come in. What should we expect to see with the new Captain Douglas Jay Falcon in Brawl? How will his updated character appear? More muscle or slimmer? Will someone correct the *shudders* "caps"? Will they change his voice actor? New moves anywhere? Final Smash attack? Will he FINALLY get an alternate costume without his helmet?

I hope they get rid of Ryo... he did well in SSB, but I hated Falcon's voice in Melee. I want them to use his Japanese voice actor from the anime or Ookawa Toru (famous for Roy Mustang in FMA/HnR). As for the English voice, use the actor from GX or have the Japanese voice actors speak Engrish. (Toru's pretty good, actually...)

And YESSS!!! I simply MUST have Falcon without his helmet for once, even in only one costume!

well i always thought falcon was a great character, so i don't think they'll alter his moves very much. i think they should slow him down just a tad, not to nerf him but just to make it easier to run around with him. i mean you tilt the analog stick and he's halfway across the stage. its almost as fast as falco. that and maybe make him stronger to cope with the loss of speed.

as for final smash i could see him doing a phoinex slam. basically he jumps high in the air and drops back to earth. but he drops back so fast it creates a flame around him, and by the time he gets close to the stage, it resembles a giant phoinex. once he hits the ground the flames spread out across the stage and then come back up to form the phoinex again, which soon disapates.

For a Final smash, I see Falcon useing an extreme version of Faclon Punch...Like in the show....'cept not as big as the show. (It's as big as a a-bomb in the show...mabey bigger.)

His final smash should called something like "Falcon Bomb or "Falcon Apocalypse" or something like that where he jumps in there and then comes crashing down,making a huge fiery explosion that does major damage to all grounded foes. You can also control where it lands as hes going down.

As for appearance, I think they should leave his look the same, and just update it graphically. A graphical update would work wonders for the Captain. His jaw would be much more chisled, and his package would go from a simple lump to a highly defined baby's arm.

As for voice acting, I've always dreamt of Arnold Schwarzenegger doing Falcon's voice acting. *sigh* But I guess a random Japanese dude would do just fine....

i say for his final smash fzero racers fly across the screen just racking up damaging, and then it finishes with the falcon flyer doing a barrel spin across the stage knocking high percentages off

if there are alternate costumes i'd like to see his original from the first fzero, helmetless, and an actual blood falcon costume

Have him jump up really high(past the screen so you can't really see him), then he comes down really fast surrounded in flames(almost like an asteroid) in the form of a falcon(or pheonix). Then, when he hits the ground, the platform, or floor, flames instantly shoot up from the ground, burning anything above it.

for his moves, i agree with Wiseguy. Nerf the Knee a lil bit and make his other moves a lil stronger. Maybe make his smash attacks faster because its hard to hit anyone that isnt borderline ******** with them. Final smash should be the super falcon punch like in the show. I saw it on the Falcon pwns vid and thought it was perfect.

I think they will keep his B moves the same with a few minor adjustments, but expect the smash and tilt moves to be changed to fit the new game. I think he will not have a clone next time around too. I will be sad if Ganon is just another clone.

I think the final smash will be something fast paced like Falcon kicking across the screen multiple times leaving a trail of fire behind him. That Pheonix slam sounds cool too though.

I think that they need to tone down his forward air attack- you know, THE INCREDIBLE KNEE. That knee is freaking impossible to live past. Well, you could just dodge it, but I want them to tone it down cause I suck too much to dodge it often enough.

For his final smash, I think it'll probably have something to do with roadkill, since he's in a racing game. They could just make it a giant Falcon Punch or THE INCREDIBLE KNEE.

Yeah, I remember that picture. You know, in the anime and GX, he's portrayed as having brown hair? Personally, I've always preferred the brown-haired Falcon to dark-haired, but I've seen some really good-looking pictures of him on Japanese fansites, and they mainly use his X appearance.

i think he's a great character overall. i mean for how big his muscles are he could have stronger, faster attacks. they could also kinda alter his up-b so you can actually recover sometimes. as for appearance....... i really hope they get rid of his colorful nipples.... my friend can never finish a fight when i play as him kuz he always laughs.

The nipple guards are important. They don't protect is nipples; they protect you from his nipples.

I doubt Falcon will change much. He'll probably get some new moves (hopefully some more moves with excess amounts of testosterone a la the Knee, Stomp, and Falcon Punch), but he'll play about the same.

And to you people who want him to have better Smashes and recovery: Do you want him to be broken?
