Lately when I play my friends, they complain about falcon being gay, cheap and easy to win with. Alot of noobs might think like this, but these guys are good players, with good tournament results, and they beat me in most friendlies.

I try to play as ungay as possible. I never spam the same tactic, like nairs or DD grab. I move around the stage sexy fast, and use whatever move comes to mind. I edgeguard alot off stage, and use alot of cool looking advanced techniques to phuck up my opponent. (Moonwalking, shield drops, yoshi-like wavelands, scar jumps, pivot cross ups.)

However they still claim that I'm cheap for using such an 'overpowered character'. Is this something you've all experienced, or am I the only one?

EDIT: the whole reason I picked falcon was because he seemed like the least gay character of the 'viable' characters. Wouldn't you agree?

As I said, these players are better than me. They slaughter my anus, then ***** about my character.

Pink falcon is gross, and should only be played when listening to sweet gay techno, moonwalk only.

But oh well, guess some people just can't handle the coolest character, this game can offer.

EDIT: the ***** is *****. God I hate how the community has become so scared of profanity. B to the itch isn't even a cuss word ffs...

I've pretty much never had anyone whine about Falcon being gay. Your practice partners must just be ******s

Were you trying to give them a blow job when playing Captain Falcon? I fail to see how it would be homosexual otherwise.

But to answer your question, Falcon is super lame. DD to auto combos? So 2004. So boring.

It has been scientifically proven that complaining is easier than adapting.

Use whatever tactics you like. As you get better, people are always going to complain about your style.

Just beat them, and when you get better, you can style on them.

All characters have auto combos and can spam DD. I don't see why someone would complain about someone doing a long nair/uair string, where you have about 15-20 frames to react to DI, and have to delicately time your fastfalls on reaction. Compared to a Fox doing easy waveshine combos, or simply nair to nair to nair. Which imo isn't gay either, but when ppl start complaining about throw to knee, but have no problem with fox' uthrow -> uair, doc's throw -> fair, marths chaingrabs/uthrow -> forward smash, then I get pissedoff.

EDIT: Also, I don't care what some might think is gay, and what isn't. The main point here is, that you respect the person, you're playing with, regardless of playstyle. I mean if you invite someone to your house just to b-itch about their character, you might as well invite someone else.

And DoH, sexuality has nothing to do with this. I like using terms like 'gay' and '****' to express myself. Some people might be offended, but if they're sensitive enough to be offended by such terms, they deserve it. I'm not forcing anyone to use such terms, so nobody should force me to use another term.

And if you were just making a joke, which I hope, it was pretty good.

If you're asking for respect in your playstyle, maybe you could respect someone's sexual orientation and not use a facet of their identity as a negative adjective? It's not even that I'm super offended about the usage since I hear it all the time, but damn, check your privilege. Whenever I see people using those words I try to raise awareness to at least the impacts of their actions; when you codify someone's sexual identity as a negative, it is incredibly detrimental to the community, even if it's not your intent. I call Cyrain out on this all the time, and he's getting better at it; he's one of the least homophobic people I know and it still slips out, but he realizes that it's a **** move to keep using the language. I'm not even going to touch the **** trivialization, because you should know better. I'm sure you can find better words to express yourself. As smashers we should be better than the Halo and SF kids; we have to work twice as hard to get half as much.

But back to Falcon, I've never understood why people always cheer when he does down throw to fair but people always boo Sheik players for it. Is it the nipple caps?

Also if they think Falcon is overpowered, show them Cactuar vs darkrain. Falcon gets shut down by a lot of the better characters.

TL;DR, watch your mouth, get new friends or something.

Because when Falcon whiff's his throw combos he usually dies for it.

Also god I wish I could dislike posts. Nicco you are so far up your own ass in pretentious "It's my first amendment right to be a bigot" it's embarrassing.

America.. what is wrong with you? I belong to a part of the community, that loves these words... How is it, that whenever I ask a question, or look for help, it always turns into other people trying to raise me?

If you're so insecure about your sexuality, that you get offended by the word 'gay', then you need to grow up, and learn to tolerate other people. Freedom of speech. nuff said...

Those terms have existed in the game community for a long time, and especially in the smash scene. If you would use the word "straight" or "heterosexual" or idk "danish" in a negative way, I wouldn't give a flying phuck. I'm confident with who I am, and what I say/do. Words mean whatever we want em to be, and where I come from, gay is a metaphor for lame. Even the homosexuals use it, they even use the term 'homosexual', but we're all laughing and having fun with it. If you don't like fun, that's your problem, but don't get offended, when I talk the way I prefer. Should we start removing every single video with HMW's commentary? Should Wombo Combo be removed? Sensitive people like you need to appreciate that this is a game, where we can all have fun. Regardless of gender/race/playstyle/sexual orientation/how we express ourselves. It's never been my intention to offend or hurt anyone, but when people desperately look for something to get offended by, it's impossible to avoid it.

Maybe you should start worrying about the members in the community, who are actually discriminating against homosexuals, instead of being a tough guy behind a monitor...

You are directly using Gay as a derogatory term for campy or lame gameplay. You use ungay as a positive in your own statement. You aren't laughing with it, you are laughing at it. That's what's ****ed up. You seem fine with using the terms cheap and overpowered, so why not just drop the one that hurt's people feelings? They're just words to you so why do you care?

Because those terms are gay :p

I'm used to people being very offended by my humor. But in this case my "friends" were literally calling me and my character gay, so I used the same term.
But since people are so butthurt by the way I write, I might as well close this account. I will never change, but if I'm not welcome, I'll gladly leave. #Neverland

EDIT: Don't think closing acc is possible. So I'll just have my fun, 'til the ban arrives.
