Hey guys I have posted a similar topic before but, I have actually made a Youtube Video for my channel and I just wanted to get some opinions on the idea of this kind of game. Also any suggestions for my next video are welcome. Basically this video is a "game pitch" for Capcom to make a smash brothers video game using only Capcom Characters. Now this could be a Capcom only developed game or they could work along side the same Nintendo/ Namco Smash Brothers team. Either way I think we need this to be made.

Maybe it's me, but I don't feel like needs to be a thing. Smash is probably the only cross over fighting that everyone is going to remember and anything else will be a copy. Just look at PlayStation All Stars Battle Royale. They tried to make their own smash clone and it didn't go to well. Also we sort of half our Capcom smash in the form of Marvel vs. Capcom. While it's not the Capcom only game, it has a healthy roster that represents old and new characters. Another problem in having a Capcom only smash is that the characters would be too obscure for a game just around Capcom. I watched the video and almost all of the characters that weren't in Street Fighter or MVC, I didn't know/care for. Sorry if I'm being a little harsh, but Capcom already gets a lot of negative press. Making a smash of their own will only make things worse for them.

Thanks for the view and feedback. Personally still think it would be an awesome thing to do as I am a big Capcom fan but, I'm really more into Smash Brothers gameplay than I am MvC. Don't get me wrong I love Marvel vs. Capcom but, Smash gameplay is much more enjoyable to me. Capcom is one of the few game companies with a big enough character library to pull something like this off. I think PlayStation All Stars failed at trying to switch up their play style. We all knew it was a Smash Brothers rip off and I think they should have actually embraced it to make a better game. That being said I see where you are coming from and I do respect your opinion.

I do think that Capcom fighting games have established too iconic of a gameplay style to turn around and mimic Smash.

Another Capcom vs game is always welcomed, though!

I see what you mean but, I'm not talking about abandoning the vs. games. Simply trying their hand at something new. The Power Stone games and Onimusha Blade Warriors are examples of them trying their hand at other fighting styles.
