Yesterday, I went to my first bigger tournament and I was completely dominated. I had a lot of fun with friendlies and stuff, but in the meat and potatoes of the event I won one set and lost my other two terribly. I lost both games in each of the ones I lost. It was my first but I'm still pretty bummed. That's about it.

Winning one set is actually better then most people (including myself) do at their first tournament. You will get better as you continue to join tournaments.

Is this a blog post or do you want feedback to help get better?

Defeat is inevitable, especially if it's your first time. If it didn't discourage you from going back, then it's nothing to worry about. It's good experience.

To be fair most of my posts are jokes, if you ever see me type anything like this, it's 99% satire.

Only thing that can be said is work on improving. How? Play more tournaments, get more experience. If you're still not getting results after a while, see if you can save some replays to send over to yourself, post videos on your character board's critique thread, listen to criticism, and try to work on whatever they notice.
