Can't shffl Dairs

I'm trying to learn Falco, but I can't fastfall while doing his Dair.. I'm using Down + A, is that alright or should I use the C-stick?

use watever, its easier to fastfall with the c-stick. i can fastfall using down+a tho, i use a combination of both depending on the situation.

When you fastfall with Down + A, do you wait until the peak of your jump to drillkick (so you can ff and dair with one stick movement), or do you dair and mash down again quickly?
I can't seem to do the latter consistently

hold down on the controll stick when you do a Dair and press L,R,or Z.

the one thing i do is i start the drillkickwith the c stick whenever i can then fast fall with the control stick, i can cancel it when im hitting someone but i cant cancel it when i go for the floor for some odd reason. >_>

if your using just control stick I would start the dair at the top of your jump which can cause some problems if you miss an attack you'll hit very quickly. But I suggest using the c-stick because it just makes ff- l-cancel alot easier and your entire air time consist of the dair so your less likely to miss an attack ifthe opponent charges. And saberhof Im not amazing at l-canceling but it sounds like you've become to use to l-canceling hits which cause lag so the timing is slower where if your doing an empty shffl then you need to hit l earlier, sorry if you knew this figured I should mention it anyways!

oh i figured it out!! i FF and L cancel at the same time so its:

ShortHop > cstick down > ( V on controlstick + L/R ) > shine, omg i didnt even have to ask how to do it hooray lol.

i hav no problem canceling it wen i miss... but i definately need a tip or 2 on canceling wen i connect... it really limits my pillaring... help?
