Can't get on DLC shop?

I can't get on the DLC shop ever since... I don't know, awhile ago. Before now, I never really needed to get on the DLC shop anyway. I didn't want mewtwo or any of the Mii fighters. But now that Lucas is out, I want to buy him, but I can't. Ever since I first tried to get on the shop, it just says "An error has occured" before ever trying to even get on the Nintendo Network. (Edit: It says, "Connect to the nintendo network?" I hit yes, then it says "Please wait" then, "An error has occured.", so I press OK). It doesn't give me an error code or anything. I tried going on the E-Shop for an update, but nothing. What can I try?

eshop is overrun, keep on trying or wait for a few days until things have settled down. Godspeed you!

Did you end up finding a solution? Still can't get on the DLC shop for whatever reason.

I can play online battles just fine though, oddly.

Don't worry, eShop itself simply has too much traffic. Personally, I had to wait after Day 1 to get an eShop card, but I was one of the lucky ones by then. Everyone is itching to get their paws on something there, if not just the fighters.

Keep checking every now & then. You'll have your moment soon.
