Can't Ban/Strike Stages in PM

I apologize If this has been asked before, but I have Project M 3.02 hackless wifi safe version, On some setups i've played on you press "Y" on the stage select screen and you can then press "X" to strike stages. I however Cannot. It's probably something as dumb as "you can't do it in your version" but it's pissing me off and I'd like to know why.

Wifi safe can't strike stages because otherwise wifi would desync.
