Ok, I'm kind of basing this upon the other Smash games, but just think about it.

Kirby and Jigglypuff had 5 jumps - 4 being in the air.
If they were hit off the stage, this means they still had 4 jumps.

As seen in the trailers, Metaknight and Pit have 5 jumps, 4 being in the air...and wait...now there's gliding...and a recovery move that looks half decent.

I may be mistaken, but the only reason Kirby was God in 64 was because of the massive recovery, am I right.

Well, that's some pretty massive recovery, and their air combat doesn't look to bad either. What do you think?

That and that annoying spike that he had to prevent u any hope of coming back to the platform.

But eh, u can assume that Sakurai seein how he made Kirby and Meta Knight, yep, there pretty much gonna b "God Tier."

Anybody else, I honestly can't say until I play the game.

>< kirby was top tier because the priority and SPEED of his tilts, air attacks, and fsmash.

Not because of his recovery.

Tier lists are based off of the current metagame of each character in relation to all other characters. They also take into account all tournament results and compile them together to gauge the tier list.

In other words, 'tiers' can only be named after enough decent information is put together.

All that aside, it all depends on his moves. Kirby was God in 64 because of the awkward DI, the broken glitch that was Z-canceling, and his combos. Melee took all that away from him. It's easier to DI out of combos, L-Canceling made Kirby's moves laggy compared to other characters, and Kirby has nothing to combo with.

Now we aproach Brawl, and Pit's status is on the line. All I can say is that the physics and the moveset given to a character determine his merit. Sure, Pit may be a recovery God, but outside of that, if he has nothing else going for him, he'd be really mediocre.

Ok so...instead of quoting the entire topic and not really posting about it...maybe next time you could lose the quote.

What are your opinions on Metaknight? He has pretty cool multiple slash aerials.
