Hello! I hope this isn't too weak of a subject to make a thread on, but I need some help and I was hoping somebody here could lend it to me.

I want to buy a figure of a video game character from eBay, the thing is that I found a figure for a very cheap price, around $16. However, the figure is sold by other people for around $90. The one I found for the cheaper price is being shipped from Japan, but it even says that the shipping price is free. I'm finding something like this a little hard to believe, but the seller's reputation is 99.9% positive with thousands of people served, so it looks legit.

What I'm worried about here are any additional costs because in the description for the item, it states:
"Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer's responsibility."
"Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding/buying."
"These charges are normally collected by the delivering freight (shipping) company or when you pick the item up - do not confuse them for additional shipping charges."

I don't want to buy the figure for $16, only to have like $70 extra dropped onto me when it gets here. I'm a little new to doing this kind of thing, so if someone could help me total what it will be at the very end, I would really appreciate it!

Assuming that they are using the international postal service, you do not have to pay an import fee. This is the case for most items below 200$. If you can, find out the shipping method they are using to be sure. Courier and Freight shipping work differently, but they are probably using IPS. More info can be found below.

I tried to contact them, but haven't gotten anything back yet and the most detailed thing I've gotten for the shipping method is "Air Mail" and "Economy Shipping from outside US." Though, I'm sure that could mean anything.

I actually just used the Duty Calculator yesterday! I put all the information in as best as I could and got that it would cost nothing extra. I'm just so shocked to think that something everyone else is selling for over $80 can be bought for $16, I can't help but be careful about something with this drastic of a price difference.
