Can you give me help on Fox

I just started seriously practicing with Fox again and can anyone give me some tips?

You need to be much more fluid, as well as get a grasp on Fox's short hops, etc. I noticed that you had the waveshine down-pat, which is good, however Fox is a lot more than the shine, contrary to popular belief.

You shine > up-throw alot which is good now follow it up with an up-air, jc upsmash, nair, whatever. You approach with dair alot which is really situational, but there are other options such as shffl nair to shine to wavedash out to repeat etc.

wow. Why are you SHDLing? Why are you drillshining? you can't even shffl consistently (let alone drillshine consistanly - those weren't real drillshines, they were just the DK not shielding). You should probably focus more on getting shffling quick nairs, Dash dancing longer, and the rshl down before any other tech skill. In terms of actually playing the game, you basically just ran and attacked. Try adding some variance in your approaches. Just switching which attack you use isn't mixing it up. It's still just running up and attacking. Try dashing around, empty shffls, circle jumps, double jumps, shine DJs. Try camping the crap outta them with rshls.
Also, tell your friend that there's more to DK than charging the donkey punch.
Sorry if this sounds like ranting or whatever, but i hate it when i see people that barely have a grip on tech skill and then the go between stocks and shdl, or drillshine, or multishine uselessly. It's just wasting time practicing, that could better be spent to make you better.

Listen to him though, aside from the negative dialogue, its actually all helpful advice.

Don't approach with dshls as I saw you attempt. Simply put, you're not Falco. Other than that, you really need to find some better competition, because clearly Giant Punch charging for kills isn't working -_-.

Jump cancel your grabs. And dont grab so much, wtf was that first stock? A good Dk would have chainthrown your *** and DK punched you.

Your shffling is just bad, you miss the cancels on your nairs.

My advice for shffling is as follows, think of it as four sepperate actions (Jump, C-stick aerial, or A for sexkick, then down, then L)

And establish a rhythm. Smash is about speed, but its more about timing. You need to get timing before you can be fluid and fast in your moves.

Practice your wavedashing / waveshining, you can see many errors there.

Basically, practice practice practice. We all gotta start somewhere, and I bet you in 1 month your fox will look 5x as good if you just have fun and play.

Try to watch as many pro fox vids as you can aswell, that helped me. I was at your level maybe 2 years ago and now Im actually pretty good with fox, and can do all the advanced techniques of his without much trouble (We all miss sometimes)
