Can viruses affect your connection? I am tired of this lag. It's never been this bad.

Greetings everyone. I was hoping that someone could help me find some light in my brawl's darkest of days. The WiFi lag has become even worse to the point that it takes 1 minute just for the last two digits of the timer to make a second.

I know it's not their WiFi connection, because I have been experimenting with my router.Everytime I unplug my router, and plug it back in after waiting for 5 minutes, I can play Brawl online for about 4-5 rounds, then the lag starts again, and I am forced to leave the damn game. Then after awhile the lag goes back to either 1 good lagless round, then I have to quit, or SOON as I get on, the lag is there.

I hope anyone can answer this problem, because I really enjoy playing online with my Bowser. I really hope that this doesn't affect the FC connection.

This lag started after we were hit by about 5 trojans. Could that have any significance?(We got rid of them. They tried to take control over our computer. It was nasty. Lol.)

My father thinks somebody who is really angry at us is targeting us, because they are still sending mail from the email address from one of our dead friends STILL after 2 years. (They sound relentless to me) Probably infested with viruses. It's 4KB of memory everytime.
