Ok. So i'm new to tournaments, but not the game. I played today in a small tourney for the first time and loved it. Where and how can i get more? Where do I look for events near my location? I was super lucky to have found the one I went to today. Can anyone help? That'd be great. ( I' also very new to threads, smash boards, any kind of blog or whatever u call websites such as SmashBoards. THANKS

Check the tourney section of these forums. Also try searching google and facebook for smash groups in your area. Last week I played in a tourney that happened to be just a few miles away from where I live. I found it by just searching facebook.

Here's what i've done before I made the post. I've searched the forum for tourneys in my state, I've searched google (very little help) and I searched facebook. The problem is i don't know if i entered all the right keywords or if there really isn't gonna be a tournament in my state any time soon.

Did a quick search, here's a facebook group for some players in TN: https://www.facebook.com/groups/MiddleTNProjectM/

Looks like they play every saturday and have regular tournaments.
Ugh! What sucks is I feel like I'll only be good at wii u. But ya know what? I'll try to get into project m, I guess. Wii u just isn't 400 mph, that's why I like it. It isn't super fast paced and hardcore like melee. Maybe project m is different? I'll check it out

Lol and idk if I'm championship level. Maybe I should just focus on school, the YouTube gaming, music, and practicing smash for now?
Just go give it a shot. You'll never know if you're good enough until you try. I think if you're winning most of your matches online you'll be fine. Worst case scenario you meet some new people and have fun playing smash. And I glanced quickly at that page but I believe they play smash 4 as well.

I've played all of them for years, most experience probably being in brawl. (Shudders) I guess practicing all of them wouldn't be a bad idea either. Maybe it would be. Pshhhh. I guess I can do project m too.

OH THANK GOD. Cuz I know that whenever a new smash comes out, or I stop playing one for another, i lose a lot for a week cuz I'm not used to the physics, speed, and moves. I wanna main with Wii U and occasionally try project M, but I've seen project m. It seems too fast for me.

Then go for Wii U, it's easiest to learn, plus not too fast for you.
