Can somebody give me a bare bones guide to SDI?

I recently went to my first tournament. As expected, I didn't do very well, but I had a lot of fun and learned how I can improve my playstyle. One thing that I think could immediately help me last longer in a match would be learning proper SDI. I've looked into guides and stuff, so I know what it is and the concept behind it, and that there are multiple different ways to perform SDI. And I haven't retained any of that knowledge. So what I'm looking for is button inputs. When I know Fox is going for an uair, what buttons do I hit? When I get f-smashed by pikachu, what combination of Joystick and c-stick do I need to jam to get out of there? When I'm playing Falco and get up-thrown by Jigglypuff, how and when can I avoid my inevitable doom?

Thanks to anyone who can provide some insight.

SMASH STICK WHEN YOU GET HIT. PLAYER MOVE SLIGHTLY IN DIRECTION THEY SMASH. USE C-STICK AT SAME TIME TO INCREASE DISTANCE TRAVELLED.

as for your up-throw situation, don't get grabbed. that's the best way to avoid it. if you do get grabbed, when jigglypuff grabs you push both sticks either left or right (push em' both in the same direction) and you will move a substantial distance away from jiggs and it will be very hard to hit you with rest. worst comes to worst and you fail the di, if you have any percent whatsoever start destroying your b button while holding down and if you have any luck you will shine and jiggs will be moved away (i recommend at least like 10% though)
