Can Snake's C4 Quotes be edited?

I know PMDT added the "There" when he puts a C4 on someone's body, so obviously the quotes can be edited somehow. My question is more about how to do it. I'd like to make him say different lines.

Also as an aside, where did PMDT get the "there" from? Is it somewhere else in Brawl's files, did they take a clip from an MGS game, did they ask David Hayter to voice it, or did someone just make one with their own voice?

I know there's software to look into that kinda thing, I'd definitely ask the guys trying to implement Melee sfx & voices into Project M.

What would you replace it with? I'm curious.

I believe the specific line is within the file 44.sawnd, which is within the folder at projectm\pf\sfx\ within the folder for Project M 3.6b. Super Sawndz would probably be the best program to edit this with.

The quote itself has a Group ID of 44, Collection ID of 261, and a WAV ID of 2, and can also be found as Audio[02] (16F8) within [105] RWSD (490D7) under snake (C7112) when viewed using Super Sawndz.

If you find the line it should be easy to use Super Sawndz to replace it with the WAV file of your choice. You can then create the new .sawnd file and replace 44.sawnd on your SD card with your new one, and Snake should then use your new sound rather than "there."

As for your second question, I believe the "there" sound is within the default Brawl files, it just never gets used.

My friend, a Snake main, would like him to say "I'm broken" and "You're dead" when placing and exploding, respectively. I think I'd rather have him do the Snake grunt and then say "broken", but the main curiosity is whether or not we can do it at all. If we weren't trying to make it tourney legal, I think we'd want to make one of the sounds the Pillsbury Dough Boy saying "hoo hoo" lol

This is very specific, thank you very much. I will see what I can do with this later and report back. Thank you for joining Smashboards to post this! Welcome! =)
