Can BrawlEx work with Balanced Brawl?

I'm just wondering. I love Balanced Brawl, and I don't want to give up the lack of tripping and balance just to have more characters.

Yes, it does. You'll need to replace the File Patch Code included in the standard BB codeset with v3.5.1b, as included in the BrawlEx readme. I'd also recommend adding the Replacement Soundbank Engine code, if you want to add SFX/voices to your BrawlEx characters. Other than the codeset, you don't need to change any existing BB files - you just add the BrawlEx files.

Whether it will still be a "balanced" brawl when you're done adding characters is another question.

So how would you set up the files to allow for BrawlEX?

Download the BrawlEx files, and copy the /module/ and /system/ folders from "Core Files" to the /private/wii/app/RSBE/pf/ folder on the SD card. Then, in that same folder, create a folder called "BrawlEx", and inside the BrawlEx folder create folders "CosmeticConfig", "CSSSlotConfig", "FighterConfig", and "SlotConfig".
